Set up ADB and Fastboot / Bootloader drivers With Android SDK [Tutorial]

How to Set Up ADB Drivers With Android SDK

1. Extract the Android SDK on your desired location

2. Open SDK Manager, Let it load and then check two radio boxes Android SDK Platform-tools and Google USB Driver and click install 2 packages.

3. Select Accept All  and click install button.

4. After getting the confirmation box ( Given below in the picture) close it, and now you have the set up the USB drivers.

5. Enable USB Debugging on your phone by heading over to setting>applications>developer options>enable USB debugging and then connect your phone to your PC.

6. Now go to Control Panel on your PC >system>device manager and over here in the list you will be able to see your device, right click on it and and select Update Driver Software and on the next window which will now open, select the second option.

7. On this window again select the second option.

8. Select Show all Devices and then Next.

9. Click Have Disk now browse to your desired location where you first extracted the files and then settled the USB driver, in our case it is” C:\android-sdk-windows\extras\google”  and then open>ok.

10. Select Android ADB Interface and click Next (ignore the warning) and then wait for the installation.

Step 11 – Now you will get the success message.

How To Confirm ADB is Working fine

If you want to confirm then go to platform-tools directory hold the shift key and right click, then select open command prompt here and type ”adb devices” if you see the cmd like in the snap below than  you have set up ADB on your PC with your Android Phone.

How to Set Up Fastboot drivers With Android SDK -
Now go to bootloader mode by holding Volume Up + Volume Down + Power buttons
Now connect your device again and repeat the steps from 6 to10  but this time in step 10 don’t select Android ADB Interface but select Android Bootloader Interface

And now you have it, ADB/Fastboot Settled up On your PC with your Android Phone.
